One Gone

Sadly one chick was born cross beaked - with only one eye. The chick was already being peck by the others. It could not stand well, so we made the decision to euthanize it. Buried it in the yard.

New Chick Day

The New Chicks have begun hatching - 6 Friday for the Wethersfield School Petting Zoo. (Imagine being just born (Hatched) then getting petted by scores of excited kids! It musthave exhilerated them, because they are fine! Then 9 hatched today, and looks like 10 for tomorrow. So far 25. Commercial average is 42%. Ours is 59.52% - not bad!
